Next Linocut...

Well, we're working on a new linocut over here in the studio. I'm actually liking linoleum MORE than mdf (medium density fiberboard) these days. It's harder to cut, but that's good because my chisels aren't constantly skittering across the surface of the block ruining everything. It also has a DELICIOUS smell- must be the linseed oil in the make-up. Yum.

It has been so hot lately, it's really hard to make any progress. The only thing we want to do is sit in front of the fan and veg (and complain, lol). Mid 90's, high humidity... yuck. Too hot for dog walks. Clifford and Lucy hang out in the studio with me, bored. They aren't much into chew toys, so I try to keep them occupied between carving sessions with petting, horsing around, brushing, etc. They aren't impressed. Thankfully they end up falling asleep before too much grumbling occurs. :)

What about stuffing their meals mixed with a little yogurt, cottage cheese, peanut butter, or canned dog food into Kongs. And then freeze them. Turns a 30 second meal into a 45 minute event.
